SCORPIO~ Ruler of the Hips & Genitalia As Halloween nears, life's forces wane as the darkness dominates. Energies turn within, as Scorpios hold on, to rejuvenate the body and spirit with whatever vital resources remain. Scorpio's know what is of value, and what to discard. (In Scorpio's ruling area of the body, we eliminate toxic waste, consummate our feelings with others and bring new beings to life).
Scorpio's fixed water gives the impression that the forces are in their control. (They usually are). Their body stance enhances an appearance of personal power. Note how the frontal tilt of the pelvis sends the spine swaying to the rear. At the top, it curves sharply to the front, tilting the head forward. This creates the recognizable eagle profile.

SAGITTARIUS Ruled by "The Thighs". At the leanest month of the year, energies expand again, only to dissipate to "as far as they can go". However, with knowledge, we can create abundance out of "all that is". The Archer sees the wider picture, and their spirit believes "anything is possible".. (To celebrate an abundant Universe, we give thanks on Thanksgiving Day).
When the centaur trots into the room, the high stepping thighs fly here and there, creating commotion and chaos, perhaps tipping over a lamp or two. Mutable fire makes them noticeably scattered, but it also gives them a highly jovial spirit. The large thighs and hips, and the pear shaped torso give them the appearance of a horse. Say hello, before they gallop away.

CAPRICORN~ Ruling Sign of "The Knees". At the Winter Solstice, it is the shortest day of the year. To
Capricorn, "It's all up from here"-- and this cardinal earth sign ends up always looking ahead, as these goats make their climb to the highest peaks. Starting from "the lowest point" can leave some of these goats cynical and hard, as they hold on to their gloomy, minimalist view.
As the goat moves ahead, they take their cautious earthy steps, concentrating all efforts in the knees. As these bony knobs pull the body forward, the buttock shifts to the rear, creating stooped shoulders and a down turned head. The stoop makes them appear reserved and timid. The tilted head keeps the goat always looking up! This body seems built for endurance, not speed.

AQUARIUS~ Ruling Sign of "The Calves". In the doldrums of winter, if we look clearly, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Light is building again, and hopes are high. In the fixed meditations of Aquarius, the light is brighter than we can imagine.
As their calves fan the air, the lower bodies of most Aquarians become a hovercraft. This concentration of fixed air pushes the body off the ground. Soon (with a little more concentration), they're flying away in the clouds! The upper body curves to the rear, providing minimal resistance to the celestial winds.

PISCES~ Rules the Feet In the final month of a living year, "everything comes together" when the creative process is brought to completion. In this gathering in of energies. all thoughts, desires and physical forms blend into the universal solvent of Pisces' Mutable Water, melding all pieces into one. Complete and whole, this creative adventure comes to an end; It can now begin again, to make itself part of something greater in design.
Meandering along, with paddling feet leading the way, Pisces swims in a sea of glimmering illusions. The rest of the body floats behind, bobbing along in the undulating currents of mutable water. The hands cling to the side, mocking fish fins. By splashing alternately, they keep the wandering ship on its destined course. .
