ARIES: David Letterman and Conan O'Brien
April 12, 1947 (6:00 AM) Indianaplis, Indiana  ~~ April 18, 1963 (1:38 PM) Boston, MA

Sun Signs: Aries

Check out TV's late night talk shows and you'll see two different breeds of Arien Rams.  After all, we all are more than our Sun Signs!
Like most Aries, Dave and Conan dominate the conversation as they repeatedly butt-in and inject their personal opinions. With intense, rapid-fire gestures and inextinguishable enthusiasm, they push "the comedic envelope" to the outer edges.  The dynamics prove quite entertaining!    Notably, both sport crowned horns of hair -- which constantly jump out of place.  The reddish coloring in their hair and complexion enhances the fiery Aries qualities.
Rising: Taurus & Virgo
Both of these "hosts with the most" have a earthy ascendant to subdue the raging fires.
When his solar torch isn't on full blast (and he isn't reacting to others), Dave locks into his Taurus personae-- taking on a staid and bull-headed presence.  Positively, this grounds him down and makes him appear more contented and relaxed.  This Venus- ruled ascendant also adds a leisurely charm to his personality.

Our first impression of Conan is quitedifferent.  He often appears jittery and nervous.  When he began his show, he constantly pulled at his tie and he twitched restlessly in his chair. The image

makers went to work but they couldn't change his Virgo ascendant.  He's still nervously fusses over the details-- especially when his Aries sun is not in control.

Moons:
Capricorn &Aquarius
These night owls have different "reactive qualities" and consequently, different emotional natures and senses of humor.
Dave's Capricorn lunacy is sarcastic and cynical -- sometimes
seemingly cruel.  In these saturnine moments, his face takes on a hard, chiselled, goat-like appearance.  With such rigid emotions, he diligently maintains order and rarely lets others take control of the show.
On the other hand, Conan's show seems more "free spirited".   His "out-of-the-blue" responses make his interactions with his guests quirky, intriguing and subject to erratic surprises.  This lunar position also makes him optimistic, friendly and it adds a light and airy quality to his personality.  Uranus on his ascendant enhances these Aquarian qualities, but it proves too far out for most tastes.
TAURUS:Jack Nicholson
April 22, 1937 (11::00 AM EST) Neptune, N
Sun Sign: Taurus

Jack Nicholson has five planets in Earth signs and a Taurus sun.  He has won fame showing us how our "sensual fixations" define reality.
Physically, you can see the bull's features in the bovine eyes, the wide nostrils, and the cowlicks on the sides of the mane (which mock the ears of a steer).  The looks are there, but as we know, this is not a contented beast, calmly grazing in a field.  He smells the smoke in the air and red flags of fire are waving in his face.
The ruler of Jack's Sun is Venus, and as we would expect, it's in a fire sign-- Aries.  (The Sun is ignited by ruling Venus' torch on Jack's midheaven!).  Uranus also conjuncts his Sun. These two forces give his fixed-earth solar expressions an assertive and impulsive quality.  On top of this, a Mars in Sagittarius induces a scattered, fiery metabolism (which in its resulting clumsiness) warns us of the dangers of putting a bull in a china shop.

Ascendant: Leo
Jack has a Leo ascendant and a strongly aspected Pluto.  Jack's Pluto (in the 12th house) conjuncts the ascendant, trines his Sagittarius Mars and

squares his Venus in Aries. Pluto ends up "empowering" all three aspected fires signs, elevating their expression in  Jack's personality.  Pluto is in the sign Cancer, and we often feel it  percolating just below the theatrical facade, which in its urge to "show-and-tell" often gives us an unsettling presentation on Pluto's deeper mysteries.
In "The Last Detail", the Leo mask was front and center-- roaring to get attention!  In his
Oscar winning role in "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest", he showed us a loud and proud individual, who
made us wonder who was really insane.  In "The Shining", Pluto took over and left no question.
When Leo rises, the eyes turn from bovine to feline and the jaw juts out to reveal once hidden jowls.  In the moment, Jack holds the fire to purr and preen, and assure himself that everything's in control.  With Pluto just below the surface, you feel that you'd better not mess with this kitty .
Moon: Virgo
When emotionally riled, Virgo moons becomes nervous and obsessed with frivolous details; Normally they interact with others, serving them in an all too-proper manner.  At 29 degrees Virgo, Jack's moon is sextile to Pluto, prompting courtesy to fly out the window!  Recall the restaurant scene in "Five Easy Pieces" where Jack reorders his breakfast.  Watch his questioning responses in "Chinatown".  In a recent movie, Jack brilliantly displayed his lunar nature playing a hypochondriac, consumed by life's imperfections.  Picture it in your mind, and you'll agree that (for an example of a Virgo Moon) this is "As Good As It Gets".
Gemini: Bob Dylan
May 24, 1941 /  9:05 pm CST  / Duluth, MN
Sun Sign: Gemini
In a recent Newsweek article, the interviewer noted— “As you sit across from him, his face keeps changing”.  He surely must have known he was interviewing a Gemini.  If not, Dylan’s own comments should have given him additional clues:  “ I don’t think I'm tangible to myself.  I mean, I think one thing today and I think another thing tomorrow.  I change during the course of a day.  I wake and I'm one person, and when I go to sleep I know for certain I'm somebody else.  I donut know who I am most of the time.”
With his music, this Gemini continues to define changes for another generation— changing the way we think and the things we do.  Dylan has an ability to make vivid, verbal images.  His Mercury and Venus in Gemini also adds to this mental agility.  He seems to have an endless supply of details and concepts, and he uses them freely as he "plays with our minds".
Notably, Dylan's not only has a gift for words, he has an ability to make them real and substantive.   Dylan's  sixth house Sun makes a snug conjunction with his fifth house Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus.  These heavy Taurian energies bring Dylan's creative efforts down to earth, as they alter the nature of his personality.

Ascendant: Sagittarius
Gemini with Sagittarius rising?  Sure, there's the Sagittarius physical structure (the domed head, the long twisted face and the ball on the tip of the nose) but something's wrong!  Close-up, you can see the mutable face and darting eyes, but in certain moments, the air and fire seems incredibly stilled and grounded— almost Taurian in quality.
Dylan shows us clearly how "ruler placements" and "key aspects" alter the nature of the personality.  Jupiter (the ruler of Dylan's ascendant) is in late Taurus conjunct his early degree Gemini Sun.  This placement and conjunction greatly modifies Dylan's physical expresssions.  Bob often bounces on stage, displaying his mutable fire energies, but quickly the ruling Jupiter shifts him into fixed earth mode, as it alters his solar energies.  As his shoulders huddle over his guitar, he locks into his seemingly immovable stance.  Highly focused, he seems unaffected by outer forces.  Taurus rules!
Moon: Taurus
With a Moon also in Taurus, the focus becomes even more intense!  With Saturn conjunct this Moon, Dylan appears emotionally cool, reclusive and hard edged.  When he reacts to the outer world, he creates biting commentary on the ills of society.  This highly disciplined Moon is also trine Neptune and conjunct the Uranus/Jupiter/Sun stellium.  Dylan’s earthy emotions are intuitively and spiritually connected to his remarkably articulate Sun.  He creates and expresses a constantly changing stream of inventive images.  With a touch of saturnine grey, Dylan paints his Taurian images by building masterfully constructed phrases.  With the swiftness of Mercury, he delivers the tantalizing messages.  The impact is real and it continues to alter our collective consciousness and soul.
Cancer: Robin Williams
July 21, l952 1:34 PM, CDT  Chicago, IL
Sun and Moon
in Cancer

With a Sun and Moon in Cancer, Robin’s liquid features are pushed and pulled like the lunar tides.  The waters crest, break and splash on the shore, then regularly recede — to fill the empty space  left behind.
With a Sun/Moon conjunction, Robin’s internal emotional reactions are indistinguishable from his external attempts at self-expression.  In other words, his emotions find double emphasis — and the tidal waves become tsunamis!  Watch Robin’s temples swell and his eyes bulge as the internal pressures build.  Soon, the cardinal waters will erupt, and he’s carried away in a new wave of emotions.  His claws will paddle and flay about as he tries to steer his out-of-kilter shell through the turbulent currents.  When the waters withdraw, he exhibits Cancer’s need for stability.  His powerful pinchers are likely to latch on to the first securing anchor that appears.  One of the results of this urge is that his closets may get packed with all sorts of treasured booty. With his double Cancer, Robin easily identifies with children. In “Mrs. Doubtfire”, he showed us how difficult it is for male crabs to let go of their brood.  In “Hook”, he was an adult With his double Cancer, Robin easily identifies with children. In “Mrs. Doubtfire”, he showed us how difficult it is for male crabs to let go of their brood.  In “Hook”, he was an

adult returning to childhood.  In “Jack”, he was a child. In real life, he’s a devoted father and family man.
With Sun and Moon in the 9th house, Robin attempts to keep things joyous, humorous and even silly.  Like with most Cancers, the lunacy waxes and wanes with the Moon cycles (changing polarity every two or so days when the Moon enters a new sign).
Ascendant:  Scorpio
In those rare moments when Robin is not in a expressive or reactive mode, the cardinal waters fix, puddle and clear — revealing  the subterranean elements of his facial and body structure.  He suddenly appears cubical and heavy, not round and buoyant.  The block head, square jaw and hooked eagle’s beak become more noticeable.  The eyes reflect a depth and mystery up to here unsuspected.  Robin’s Scorpio ascendant has made its transformations.
Robin’s Scorpio is more than a mask — it affects everything he touches.  (His ascendant ruler Pluto is conjunct Mercury, sextile Neptune and square Jupiter). These aspects give Robin the ability to create images so powerful they leave us either shaken or transformed.  With every chuckle, there’s often a “Oh, my God — what was that?”.  The powerful presence he revealed in “Awakenings” was pure Scorpio.  “Bird Cage” opened some unsuspected doors. Dark, Plutonian themes prevailed  in “Jumanji”, “The Fisher King” and “Dead Poet’s Society”.
